Lookout is live: sourcing beyond your own pool

Lookout searches about a billion online profiles from the brief you already wrote, screens what it finds against the role's criteria, and delivers people into the same review flow as your applicants. Rolling out workspace by workspace, ask us to switch it on. Plus RecMan migration and image galleries in the API.

Lookout is live: sourcing beyond your own pool

The other tab can close. Lookout, Vouch's external sourcing agent, is live. Sometimes the right person doesn't apply, so now Vouch goes looking, and everyone it finds is screened like an applicant.

New

  • Lookout. Point it at a listing and it searches about a billion online profiles from the brief you already wrote, screens the matches against the role's criteria, and delivers them scored, with reasoning, next to the people who applied. Accept someone and they join your pipeline with a CV built from the profile and contact details when we find them. Decline and the profile is deleted, and it won't be delivered to you again.
  • Look beyond your pool. Any smart search can bring in outsiders: choose 5, 10 or 20 external matches and they join your results, marked as external, ranked by the same criteria as everyone else.
  • A market check before you spend anything. Every listing shows how many people are out there matching the brief, free. If the brief is so narrow the market can't answer it, Lookout says so and points at what to loosen.
  • Standing searches. Some profiles never stop being in demand. Put Lookout on retainer for a listing or a saved search and it watches the market, delivering screened candidates in a weekly drip. Only people who clear the bar count as deliveries. When the market runs dry it tells you and waits for new entrants. Pause or resume any time, with a company-wide overview under Talent pool → Lookout.
  • Nothing hoarded. Profiles you never review delete themselves: previews within a week, undecided candidates after 30 days. The first message you send a sourced candidate carries the required privacy notice if your outreach doesn't already include one, and your workspace's public privacy page gains its sourcing section on its own.
  • Getting it switched on. Lookout is rolling out workspace by workspace and is enabled on request: ask us during onboarding, or send us a message if you're already on Vouch.
  • RecMan migration. Moving from RecMan? We now carry your listings and candidates across for you as part of onboarding.

Improved

  • Image galleries in the public API. Listing endpoints now include gallery images.
  • Cleaner locations. Postal codes and countries are normalised on candidate records as they come in.
  • Consolidated invites. Inviting someone to several listings sends one email covering all of them.

Fixed

  • Queued messages follow email corrections. Fix a candidate's email address and their unsent messages re-point to the new one.
  • The Finn publish button now says it's publishing while the listing goes out.
