From Håkon and David

We have both done hiring in-house for years. Product, design and engineering teams from scratch, and every mistake it is possible to make along the way.

Then we started Vouch and spent a few years talking to hundreds of recruiters, hiring managers and candidates. The market shifted, Gen AI arrived, and recruiter workflows changed faster than the tools serving them.

We listened, then we built. An assistant that knows the whole job, AI-native from the first line, shaped around the day a recruiter has rather than the one a product roadmap imagines.

The boring work handled. The thinking work served up with the reasoning attached and your call to override. More time talking to people, less time fighting your tools.

Two of us started this. Both of us still build it.

Founder-run day to day, with a team across product, engineering and go to market who have done the job themselves. Whoever you get, you get someone who builds the product.

Before Vouch
Ran in-house hiring at Aker BP, Aker Energy and Aize, and recruited around 80 people across product, design and engineering. Before that, M&A, investor relations and brand.
↘ Off the record
- Håkon's family has a long tradition with mattress production. Ask about spring vs foam mattresses and he'll talk for an hour straight.
- Studied in Bath, big fan of British alternative rock. Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys are usually on repeat on his headset.
- Hosts his own podcast about founder journeys, Støttehjulet. Maybe you're the next guest?
- Has a million side projects on the go. Currently football coach, marathon runner, pizza baker, and slide producer in his spare time.

Product engineer at Cognite, working on AI and data modelling. Before that, Microsoft, Venmo and Yelp.
↘ Off the record
- Travels constantly, and announces it late. He will drop it into the Monday meeting: by the way, off to Italy tomorrow, the flights were a bargain.
- The tea guy. Brings his own kettle to the office, and the whole floor gets the smell whether it asked for it or not.
- Still plays Age of Empires II. A game old enough to have its own archaeology.
- Loves a bargain on anything. Flights are just where it shows up most.
