The opportunity

We are currently in an exciting phase of international business expansion and are looking for a Head of Supply Chain and Production to join our passionate team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of a company that is making waves in the global fitness industry.

As the Head of Supply Chain and Production, you will work closely with our design, engineering and operations teams, as well as with a dedicated group of highly motivated individuals who share a passion for innovation, excellence and having fun.

We are growing in both product offerings and scale, and your primary responsibility will be to take products from successful prototypes to full production, as well as optimizing production costs. Developing multi-source manufacturing, creating scalable structures and strong vendor relationships will be critical dimensions of success.

Areas of responsibility

Supply Chain

· Manage and coordinate end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution

· Work with other departments, such as sales and e-commerce, to forecast demand and ensure product availability

· Establish and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, manufacturers and logistics partners

· Responsible for evolving the supply chain in line with market demands and company strategy

· Optimize production costs for existing portfolio through negotiations/tactics with manufacturers and suppliers, and by working with design/engineering teams on alternative solutions for materials, design, etc.

Quality Assurance

· Responsible for establishing and maintaining a company quality assurance system for both external manufacturing and in-house assembly of finished goods

· Create quality points and act on data that shows discrepancies, including negotiating solutions with sub-suppliers and taking mitigating actions in-house

Sourcing

· Source suppliers globally during the product development phases, working with product design/engineering responsible

· Manage bidding between suppliers

Qualifications (missing a few points does not disqualify)

· Experience with physical products, supply chain management and/or commercialization

· Strong communication and negotiation skills

· Higher education and at least 3 year of work experience

· Able to travel globally (2-5 times per year)

· Familiar with CNC, mold and welding production

· Experience with any type of series production

· Experience with sourcing manufacturers

· Experience with startup / scaleup companies is an advantage

· Advanced English and preferably Norwegian/Danish/Swedish
