Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a senior UX/UI designer who can turn deep technical complexity into experiences people trust — someone who has built products from concept to launch, understands systems beyond individual screens, and knows that early interaction decisions define everything that scales after.

Your mission
As a Senior UX/UI Designer at Starflow, you'll translate our systems-level vision into tangible, validated, and buildable digital experiences, ensuring execution matches ambition. From early concept to real-world implementation, you'll shape how people interact with complex energy technology in the simplest possible way.
By designing strong interaction foundations, rapidly exploring and validating ideas, and setting early direction for a distinctive UI language, you'll define a new standard for residential energy experiences. Working hand in hand with leadership and engineering, you'll balance ambition with focus, transforming complexity into confidence.
You'll design something people need to trust for years
You'll solve problems where digital alone isn't enough
You'll build the foundation with nothing to reference
You'll ship something where the experience determines adoption
You'll validate constantly because guessing is too expensive
What you'll build
The core customer experience
Interaction models that work across the system
The visual language from scratch
Evidence through rapid prototyping
How you'll work
You'll work directly with engineering from the start. Technical constraints shape your designs early, not after you've finished. You'll catch edge cases together, solve problems as they come up, and figure out solutions when something can't be built as designed. Real collaboration.
Paul, our strategic design lead, will push your thinking daily. He owns the systems-level vision and thinks deeply about interaction models and cross-touchpoint experiences. You'll learn from how he approaches complexity while focusing on execution and getting things built.
The pace is fast. You'll prototype quickly, test early, learn from what breaks, and ship. If you need weeks to feel ready or struggle to let go of work, this won't fit. But if rapid iteration and learning from real feedback energizes you, you'll thrive here.
Who we're looking for
We need someone who's done this before, not exactly this, but hard enough problems that you know what matters and what doesn't. You've shipped real work, learned from what broke, and built things people actually use.
You think in systems, not screens
You've designed products where physical and digital work together — IoT, connected hardware, automotive, industrial products. You understand how decisions in one touchpoint affect the entire ecosystem. You can map journeys, build interaction models, and think in patterns that scale.
You've shipped real products
6-7+ years designing digital products, with clear evidence of work that made it to production. You've collaborated with engineering from concept through launch, not just handed off designs. You know what it takes to ship, and you've seen at least one product go from 0→1→scale.
You turn complexity into clarity through craft
You've designed for high-stakes contexts where trust matters. Your work shows both strategic thinking (journey maps, service blueprints, system-level documentation) and visual excellence (distinctive UI that signals quality, not generic templates).
You're resilient and genuinely collaborative
You receive strong feedback without becoming defensive. You thrive building on others' ideas, not needing to originate everything. You've worked in fast-moving environments where priorities shift, and you adapt without losing momentum.

Starflow is building a seamless platform that brings together solar panels, home batteries, EV chargers, and the grid. At the core is a smart hybrid inverter — designed to become the central control unit of the modern home, capable of monitoring, managing, and optimizing energy use automatically.
With advanced hardware and open software architecture, the system will adapt to each home in real time. It’s being developed to help lower energy bills, enable storage and bring everything together in one intuitive interface. Easy to install, built to last, and ready for the energy needs of tomorrow.
Clean energy, made effortless. Quiet in presence. Powerful in action. Fully in sync with how we want to live. We’re building what energy should feel like. And this is just the beginning.
Life @ Starflow
We started Starflow to change how energy feels: seamless, intelligent, beautiful. But building something truly new doesn’t just require vision – it takes a special way of working, and people who care deeply about doing things right.
That’s why at Starflow, design isn’t just how the product looks. It’s how we think, how we make decisions, and how we come together as a team. We slow down enough to ask the right questions before chasing solutions. We create clarity first, knowing it leads to speed, calm, and confidence later.
We call this way of working the Flow process. It’s our shared rhythm, a supportive structure that removes friction rather than adding layers. It’s designed to help you feel energized, clear, and purposeful. Even when things move fast.
When you join Starflow, you don’t just fill a role. You help shape how things are done. You’ll work closely with founders, designers, engineers, and others who trust you from day one. You’ll get genuine ownership and the freedom to create something meaningful.
We’re building a team of people who love what they do, who speak honestly, who embrace uncertainty, and who genuinely care about each other and the impact they’re creating together.

Our values
From the very beginning, we knew we couldn’t leave culture to chance. If we wanted to build something that lasts, we had to be just as deliberate about how we work together as we are about the product itself.
These values aren’t something we wrote after the fact. They’ve shaped our choices from the beginning – who we hire, how we lead, how we give feedback, and what we expect of each other.
They’re not there to sound good. They’re there to be used.
Bold
We take calculated bets, aim higher than expected, and we’re not afraid to step into the unknown.
Integrity
We do what we say, and we do what’s right, even when no one’s watching.
Truth seeking
We put curiosity over comfort and clarity over ego. We don’t build on assumptions, we build on insight.
Care
We genuinely care. About the product we’re building, about the people who use it, and about each other.
