Who we are looking for
We're looking for an electronics engineer who can take full ownership of schematics, layout, bring-up, and certification. Someone who designs with compliance, thermal limits, and real-world production in mind, and works tightly with embedded, mechanical, and product teams to make it all fit together.

Highlights
Job type
Full-time
Relevant experiences
Has taken full ownership of PCB development from architecture and component selection to layout, bring up, and production release
Designed electronics with certification in mind and understands how layout and parts affect EMC, CE, and safety testing
Uses structured reviews, version control, and documentation as part of everyday engineering work
Nice to Have
Experience working with external labs to pass certification tests
Comfortable designing electronics for sealed, thermally constrained enclosures
Used to collaborating closely with embedded, mechanical, and product teams from concept to release
Why this role might be worth your time
You’ll own the electronics in a real energy system
You’ll design for production and certification, not just the bench
You’ll help build how electronics is done at Starflow
The mission
You’ll take shared ownership of the full electronics system in Starflow’s energy products, from early architecture through schematic, layout, bring-up, and certification.
Together with Nikolai, you’ll work across power conversion (AC/DC and DC/DC), wireless and wired communication, sensors, user interface, and integration with embedded software, all inside compact, sealed enclosures with tough thermal and mechanical limits.
You’ll collaborate closely with embedded, mechanical, and product teams to make sure what we build works in the real world, passes certification, and scales in production. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role where your decisions directly shape what ships.
Design electronics that can ship
Keep quality high, even under pressure
Make certification part of the design
Bring up boards and fix what breaks
Build a platform, not just a board
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who’s taken full ownership of electronics that went into the real world. Not just a schematic, but the full chain from architecture to layout to bring-up and debug.
This is not a solo mission either. You’ll be working side-by-side with Nikolai, our Principal Electronics Engineer, and together you’ll own the electronics platform for Starflow’s energy system. That means shared decisions, structured reviews, and designs that others can understand, test, and build on.
You’ve owned full PCB designs — end to end
From architecture and schematic to layout and bring-up. Not just as a task, but with accountability. You’ve made trade-offs across EMC, thermal, mechanical, and sourcing constraints — and delivered something that shipped.
You make decisions visible and open to review
Work is shared, not hidden. You write things down, version your decisions, and make it easy for teammates to follow. Structured reviews, design clarity, and real feedback are part of how you work.
You know certification isn’t a formality
You’ve designed for EMC, CE, or safety before, and seen where it breaks down. You know layout choices can sink a test, and you plan for that. Testing doesn’t scare you, because your design is built with it in mind.

Starflow is building a seamless platform that brings together solar panels, home batteries, EV chargers, and the grid. At the core is a smart hybrid inverter — designed to become the central control unit of the modern home, capable of monitoring, managing, and optimizing energy use automatically.
With advanced hardware and open software architecture, the system will adapt to each home in real time. It’s being developed to help lower energy bills, enable storage and bring everything together in one intuitive interface. Easy to install, built to last, and ready for the energy needs of tomorrow.
Clean energy, made effortless. Quiet in presence. Powerful in action. Fully in sync with how we want to live. We’re building what energy should feel like. And this is just the beginning.
Life @ Starflow
We started Starflow to change how energy feels: seamless, intelligent, beautiful. But building something truly new doesn’t just require vision – it takes a special way of working, and people who care deeply about doing things right.
That’s why at Starflow, design isn’t just how the product looks. It’s how we think, how we make decisions, and how we come together as a team. We slow down enough to ask the right questions before chasing solutions. We create clarity first, knowing it leads to speed, calm, and confidence later.
We call this way of working the Flow process. It’s our shared rhythm, a supportive structure that removes friction rather than adding layers. It’s designed to help you feel energized, clear, and purposeful. Even when things move fast.
When you join Starflow, you don’t just fill a role. You help shape how things are done. You’ll work closely with founders, designers, engineers, and others who trust you from day one. You’ll get genuine ownership and the freedom to create something meaningful.
We’re building a team of people who love what they do, who speak honestly, who embrace uncertainty, and who genuinely care about each other and the impact they’re creating together.
Our values
From the very beginning, we knew we couldn’t leave culture to chance. If we wanted to build something that lasts, we had to be just as deliberate about how we work together as we are about the product itself.
These values aren’t something we wrote after the fact. They’ve shaped our choices from the beginning – who we hire, how we lead, how we give feedback, and what we expect of each other.
They’re not there to sound good. They’re there to be used.
Bold
We take calculated bets, aim higher than expected, and we’re not afraid to step into the unknown.
Integrity
We do what we say, and we do what’s right, even when no one’s watching.
Truth seeking
We put curiosity over comfort and clarity over ego. We don’t build on assumptions, we build on insight.
Care
We genuinely care. About the product we’re building, about the people who use it, and about each other.
