About the Role:

We seek a driven, organized, resourceful Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our North American sales team. This role is the engine of our new business generation, responsible for organizing and responding to inbound leads and proactively creating outbound opportunities for our Account Executives. You will be the first point of contact for many potential customers, playing a crucial role in shaping their initial impression of our company.

This is a remote role that will require regular travel to attend conferences, meet customers, and get together with coworkers.

Responsibilities:

Inbound Lead Management:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound leads across various channels (web forms, whitepaper downloads, chat, email).

  • Qualify leads through effective questioning and active listening to understand their needs and pain points.

  • Schedule introductory calls with the most promising leads for Account Executives.

  • Provide ongoing support and nurture relationships with qualified leads until they are ready for handoff.


Outbound Lead Generation:

  • Research and identify ideal customers aligned with our target market.

  • Develop and execute multi-channel prospecting campaigns (cold calls, emails, social media).

  • Engage prospects in meaningful conversations, identify their challenges, and present relevant solutions.

  • Set appointments for qualification calls with Account Executives.

  • Attend industry conferences and pursue appointments with prospective customers at our booth and on the show floor.

  • Visit markets to do in-person drop ins on karaoke venues to open new outbound opportunities.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions with leads and prospects in HubSpot.

  • Generate reports on lead generation and qualification activities on occasion.

Continuous Learning and Development:

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and company products/services.

  • Actively participate in training and coaching programs to hone your skills.

  • Share best practices and learnings with the broader sales team.

Need to Haves:

  • Endless curiosity, drive, and coachability.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to qualify leads and identify sales opportunities.

  • Time management and organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot preferred).

  • Experience with cold calling and email outreach campaigns.

  • An optimistic and resilient attitude.

  • Previous startup experience working within a small organization (<70 people globally) and the challenges that these organizations face

  • An attention to detail.

Nice to Haves:

  • Previous success within a remote working environment

  • Hospitality experience in your working history

  • Experience selling into hospitality in your working history

  • Korean and/or Spanish fluency is a big advantage, as many of our customers speak English as their second language

Interview Process:

We will invite the most suitable candidates to interviews from those that submit one page resumes and cover letters. The interview process will be a three-part interview with the VP of Sales, US, followed by a 1-2 hour homework assignment, an interview with the Chief Revenue Officer, and peer interviews with members of the current North American team. Our goal is to have a candidate hired by early January.
