LAINE is seeking an experienced In-House Contract Attorney based in California to join our pioneering LegalTech team. You will be instrumental in refining our contract templates and advancing our AI-powered drafting tools, directly impacting our mission to make high-quality legal services accessible for all. This is a unique opportunity to leave a mark on the legal industry, focusing on innovation rather than billable hours.
Draft, review, and revise a wide range of contracts governed by US law with a high degree of autonomy and precision.
Identify drafting issues and propose improvements to enhance the quality and reliability of our contract templates and automated outputs.
Provide structured legal input to support the development and refinement of our AI-assisted contract drafting tools.
Work independently and asynchronously in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environment, demonstrating initiative and strong ownership.

This isn't your typical legal role. As an In-House Contract Attorney at LAINE, you'll be at the forefront of legal innovation. You will apply your deep expertise in US and California contract law to improve our contract templates, refine automated outputs, and provide critical legal insights to our engineering and product teams.
