About the job

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be a key architect of our core AI-driven legal platform. You will design, build, and scale our backend services, integrate cutting-edge LLMs, and work with a passionate, global team to redefine how legal services are delivered.

Design, build, and maintain the backend services and APIs at the heart of our platform.

Integrate external services, including cutting-edge LLM/AI APIs, into robust, user-facing features.

Own CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows to ensure fast, reliable, and safe delivery.

Collaborate closely with product and frontend teams to deliver secure, delightful end-to-end user experiences.

Champion best practices in performance, scalability, observability, and security across our distributed systems.

We’re looking for a versatile Principal Software Engineer to design, build, and scale the core services behind our AI-assisted legal drafting platform. This isn't just another backend role; you'll be at the intersection of AI, law, and user-centric design. You will have a profound impact on our product and architecture, partnering closely with product and frontend teams to ship secure, high-quality features that empower our users. This is a full-time, fully remote role where you’ll tackle complex challenges in a distributed system, from backend/API development to performance and reliability, all while influencing our product roadmap with pragmatic, user-first thinking.

You are an experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and building robust systems. You have a strong foundation and a passion for creating scalable, secure, and reliable software.

Backend Proficiency

Expertise in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Java, or C#).

System Design

A strong track record of shipping production systems with a solid understanding of OOP, API design, and database modeling (SQL/NoSQL).

Cloud & DevOps
