Accounting/controlling with NL GAAP/IFRS experience, 3-5years.

Strong proficiency in Excel/Sheets and SaaS metrics literacy (ARR, churn).

Fluent in English.

Exposure to multi-entity consolidation.

Dutch proficiency.

Build and scale finance operations from day one.

About the Role

Stand up finance operations from day one - owning monthly close, cashflow, billing, VAT and statutory filings, and audit readiness - while establishing clean, scalable controls to ensure a smooth and compliant carve-out launch.

Billing & Collections

Establish billing & collections rhythm by Day 30.

Monthly Close

Consistently achieve <7 working days for monthly close by Day 60.

Audit Readiness

Ensure clean audit readiness within 12 months (policies, controls, documentation in place).

Financial Cadence

Operationalize budget and forecast cadence by end of Q2.

Statutory Filings

Submit all statutory filings (VAT, ICP, Intrastat/CBS) on time with zero delays.

Entity Setup

Complete entity setup milestones (KvK, VAT, UBO, bank onboarding) as planned.

Drive crucial financial operations and ensure compliance.

Your Responsibilities

As our Accountant/Controller, you'll be at the forefront of our financial operations, responsible for nurturing relationships and driving successful outcomes.

Entity Management

Assist with KvK and VAT registrations, UBO records, and bank onboarding.

System Setup

Help stand up chart of accounts, cost centers, and approval flows.

ERP Support

Support ERP enablement and basic P2P/O2C flows.

Transaction Processing

Process AP/AR transactions and maintain master data.

Month-End & Reporting

Own month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting support.

Compliance Filings

Prepare VAT, ICP, Intrastat/CBS submissions.

Treasury & Cash

Manage treasury admin and cash reconciliations.

Audit & Controls

Support audits and ensure documentation compliance.

Expense & Payroll

Oversee expense management and payroll payout.

Financial Ownership

Own GL, AP/AR, revenue operations, and cashflow forecasting.

Strategic Reporting

Prepare management reports; support board packs and investor updates.

Coordination

Coordinate with tax advisors; set up tooling (ERP, invoicing).

Who You Are

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Accountant/Controller who can hit the ground running and build our finance function from scratch in the Netherlands.

Experience

3–5+ years in accounting/controlling with NL GAAP/IFRS exposure.

Tech Skills

Strong Excel/Sheets proficiency and SaaS metrics literacy (ARR, churn).

Language

Fluent in English; Dutch language skills preferred.

Carve-out/Audit

Experience with audit or carve-out processes.

ERP Savvy

ERP implementation experience (NetSuite/Exact) is a plus.

Consolidation

Exposure to multi-entity consolidation.
