About the role
Huddly builds AI-powered camera systems that bring intelligent video collaboration into meeting rooms worldwide. We push computer vision and machine learning into hardware people actually use every day – and that only works if the hardware is rock solid, everywhere we sell it.
We're looking for a Product Compliance Engineer to join our engineering team and make sure all our products are market-ready and safe to use. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with hardware and software engineers from early design through to shipping product, and be directly involved when we figure out how to enter new markets.
Expect a mix of hands-on technical work and the documentation that makes it stick. You'll have real freedom in how you approach your work, and you will be trusted and empowered to shape the high quality products we deliver to our customers.

What you'll do and what you bring
Your responsibilities
- Work closely with the engineering team to catch EMC and safety issues early.
- Run compliance pre-testing and suggest design improvements.
- Scope, plan and manage certification processes with external labs.
- Work with suppliers to ensure third-party components meet compliance.
- Assess regulatory requirements for entering new markets.
- Track certifications portfolio and keep renewals on schedule.
- Stay on top of changes to compliance regulations.
- Create and manage action plans for audit findings or violations.
- Keep evidence files and DoCs current for regulations like RoHS, REACH, PPWR and Prop 65.
What you bring
- University degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years work experience in product compliance or a relevant field.
- Excellent understanding of global regulatory and compliance requirements for electronic products.
- Solid understanding of why a product passes or fails EMC and safety testing.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulations and standards for engineers.
- Ownership of compliance processes, prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
- Fluent in English.
- Valid work permit for Norway.
- Knowledge of RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, Conflict Minerals (a plus).
- Knowledge of design for environmentally friendly solutions (a plus).
- A team player attitude.
Meet Our Team
Jørgen Dahlback here — Director of Hardware at Huddly. My background is in electronics engineering, graduating from the University of Glasgow with an MEng(Hon) in 2005. I worked at Tandberg/Cisco and Barco before joining Huddly in early 2019, where I served as a Senior Electronics Engineer and Electronics Manager before stepping into my current role in early 2023. In my current role, I manage a team of engineers responsible for bringing new Huddly hardware products from concept to mass production.
