We’re building a seamless platform that brings together solar panels, home batteries, EV chargers, and the grid. It’s designed to become the heart of the modern home, monitoring, managing and optimizing energy use automatically.
We’re a design-led team in Stavanger and Oslo, on a mission to make clean energy the obvious choice. And we’re growing, with people who are hands-on, curious and at their best when not everything is figured out.
Now we’re looking for a COO to build the operations that get what we’re building into people’s homes. Most of this has not been built yet. You will build it from scratch, do much of the work yourself at first, and grow the team as we scale across the Nordics and Europe. The decisions made in the first year will shape how Starflow operates for years.
The Role
You’ll sit in the leadership team and work closely with the CEO and colleagues across product, engineering and commercial. You’ll help set direction, then get involved in the details needed to move work forward.
You will:
Take our platform from prototype to series production with a contract manufacturer, including the handover from engineering.
Build Starflow’s Operations function end to end: the team, the technical solutions and the external partners we rely on, so customers and installers experience one Starflow from order to support.
Source and qualify suppliers for critical components and negotiate and follow up agreements with our manufacturing and component partners.
Build supply chain, logistics and a delivery plan across launch markets, based on real capacity and lead times.
Work closely with finance on cost per unit, capital and cash flow.
The aim is to bring enough structure for reliable execution while giving product, design, and engineering room to create.
What you bring
Hands-on experience taking physical hardware products into production.
A strong understanding of sourcing, supply chains and manufacturing.
Experience developing operations in a changing environment.
Sound financial judgement, including an understanding of costs and unit economics.
A collaborative leadership style grounded in curiosity, trust and good reasoning.
Experience with energy technology, power electronics, batteries, solar, EV charging or connected hardware is a plus. We value the decisions you’ve made and the results you’ve owned more than titles or a particular degree.
